We’re only five months into 2025, and it’s already been a rollercoaster of tariff news and economic shifts. But even amidst the uncertainty, we want to take a moment to celebrate some industry recognition that underscores the importance of building effective solutions to help brands navigate whatever comes next. Recent awards programs have recognized not only two rockstars on our team, but also our commerce platform and history of innovation.
Over the past year, Pacvue significantly ramped up its product innovation and AI efforts, including hiring Microsoft veterans to introduce new AI integrations across its product suite. The company also expanded its partnership with GroupM to launch an Integrated Commerce Management solution that unifies media management and retail operations to empower brand partners to stay ahead in a dynamic market. Additionally, Pacvue was selected as a beta partner to roll out Amazon DSP globally in January 2025, helping advertisers maximize performance with enhanced tools and support.
And we have a lot more on the horizon, so let’s first take a moment to celebrate these wins:
2025 Top Women in Media and Ad Tech
On April 25, media companies AdExchanger and AdMonsters announced Pacvue President Melissa Burdick is one of the Top Women in Media and Ad Tech this year. Melissa was recognized in the Entrepreneurial Achievement category, which celebrates women who have “launched or rebuilt brands or companies and continue to work tirelessly towards their success.”
Melissa founded Pacvue in January 2018 after nearly 10 years at Amazon, where she worked on the original retail media platform, Amazon Ads. Under her leadership, Pacvue has played a significant role in the evolution of the retail media industry by providing advertisers a centralized platform to access retail media inventory and manage campaigns across multiple retailers. The platform has unified retail media across more than 100 retailers, including Amazon, Walmart and Target, as well as Chewy, DoorDash and Mercado Libre. Pacvue has been selected as a beta partner for multiple Amazon product launches, including its AI Image Generator tool and Global DSP. And later this year, Pacvue will be the exclusive demand partner when Home Depot launches self-service ads. She is also an official Amazon Ambassador, part of a group of experts who receive exclusive content and access from the eCommerce giant. Melissa also sits on the advertising advisory boards of Amazon and Instacart. And she continues to evolve. Melissa hosts her podcast, Commerce Accelerated: The Exit Interview Series, where she talks with the biggest names in advertising and retail media to give listeners an insider’s perspective on where the industry is headed – straight from the leaders shaping its future. Pacvue has over 700 employees and works with more than 70,000 brands and agencies across top retailers worldwide.
The awards program from AdExchanger and AdMonsters honors women who make an impact in digital marketing and advertising technology. Melissa is part of an awards class that also includes honorees like Angelina Eng, vice president of measurement, addressability and data center at the IAB, and Reddit COO Jen Wong.
Overall Digital Commerce Platform of the Year
We have more good news. Pacvue was also named Overall Digital Commerce Platform of the Year at the 2025 RetailTech Breakthrough Awards. The awards program acknowledges transformational retail technology. In just its third year, the RetailTech Breakthrough Awards received thousands of nominations from 15 countries.
Bryan Vaughn, managing director of RetailTech Breakthrough, called Pacvue “the most comprehensive commerce and retail media platform available in the market.”
Vaughn said Pacvue won because retailers use its platform to access ecommerce analytics and actionable insights that optimize their retail media strategies, performance marketing and sales growth. The platform is now focused on adding AI integrations across its product suite. Pacvue was also selected as a beta partner to help roll out Amazon DSP globally in January 2025. “This award reinforces our commitment to helping brands win in commerce through innovation and execution,” Melissa said. “We’ll continue redefining the standards in retail media planning and intelligence, giving our clients the competitive edge they need to thrive.”
Retail Media Rising Rising Star
Additionally, Anne Harrell, our Head of Product Enablement was named to the Retail MediaX Awards shortlist, being selected as one of five finalists, out of over 100 submissions. Anne was on the final list for the Rising Star category, which recognizes and celebrates early-career trailblazers driving impact, growth and potential. Serving as a vital connection between Pacvue’s product experts and its global enterprise customers, Anne is on the ground floor driving innovations that arise directly from her conversations with brands and agencies. She then empowers the product team to purpose-build technologies for partners that meet their evolving needs. The Retail MediaX Awards celebrate the industry’s best networks, retailers, brand campaigns, agencies and technology innovations.
Most Innovative Tech Companies of the Year
Finally, Pacvue received a Bronze Stevie at the 23rd American Business Awards. The commerce platform was honored in the category of Most Innovative Tech Companies of the Year. Additional honorees in this category include semiconductor company Arteris, legal software company BigHand, cashierless checkout firm Digit7, CPQ platform Tacton, AI infrastructure startup Celestial AI and travel and expense management software platform Emburse. The American Business Awards are part of the Stevie Awards, which recognize outstanding performances in the workplace worldwide. Winners were selected from more than 3,600 nominations.
Cheers!
